A message from our President

Dear Tigers,Some of you may already be aware that the AFL has postponed all Junior AFL games until May 31. You can read their full statement below.

As a club we support this decision as we all need to play a part in trying to reduce the spread of Coronavirus in our community. We will continue to work closely with NSW AFL and provide any new updates as they come to hand.

No doubt some of you will have questions in regards to registration fees already paid and we will address this as soon as we can. I have sought advice from the AFL to ensure consistency across all clubs nationally in relation to fees already paid and possible rebates based on a reduced season.

As you know we are a small non for profit community club run entirely by a great group of dedicated and passionate volunteers and we have already spent significant funds on equipment, clothing and gear leading into the season.

I will also be working with the Northern Beaches Council regarding our fees associated with ground hire for Tigerland and the Narrabeen Sports High School.  We are lucky to have many great sponsors for the Tigers who I will be contacting in the coming days to advise them of the decision to postpone the start of the season and ask that they stick with us during this challenging time.

I do ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate our way through these uncharted waters and I will be sending further updates over the next couple of weeks.

This being said we have also CANCELLED the Come and Try session marked for Sunday 22nd March for obvious reasons. I certainly hope that we can get back on the field from May 31 and once again, see Tigerland awash in yellow and black with many kids playing the great game of AFL.
Thank you and take care

Regards, Simon
