History

The Pittwater Junior AFL Club was founded in April 1970 as the Pittwater Australian Rules Football Club with the official uniform at formation being a yellow jumper with black sash & yellow & black hooped socks. We have a very proud history at the Tigers and proud of the role we play on the Northern Beaches peninsula and especially for Pittwater. We have won numerous Premierships across a number of different age groups over the years and have built a culture around being a family friendly local club.

We have strong values of Pride, Fun & Community Spirit and our club is run by passionate parents and volunteers. From coaches, team managers, ground managers and a club committee committed to growing our club into the future.

In 2023 we have over 300 young tigers and we have seen significant growth in both the younger groups of Auskick and Under 8’s and huge growth in Youth Girls Footy.

We welcome all kids across all age groups regardless of experience or ability.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Pittwater Junior AFL club has a Facebook page and Instagram account. This is an excellent resource that keeps all members up to date and involved with the junior club. We encourage you to ‘like’ the pages and share with family and friends.

They are very active pages and are updated daily throughout the season with team pictures, results and happenings.

COMMUNITY

The Pittwater Tigers Junior AFL Club is all about family and community. Run by our many volunteers, the Tigers have a number of social events and fundraisers throughout the season. It’s a great, fun way to get to know those in our Tigers community.

Oh we’re from Tigerland
A fighting fury
We’re from Tigerland
In any weather you will see us with a grin
Risking head and shin
If we’re behind then never mind
We’ll fight and fight and win
For we’re from Tigerland.
We never weaken till the final siren’s gone
Like the Tigers of old
We’re strong and we’re bold
For we’re from Tiger (yellow and black)
Oh We’re from Tigerland.
